DiSC

Learn to relate to and work more effectively with others through personal insights into your own behavioral strengths and challenges.

discDiSC® is a personal assessment tool used by more than 40 million people to improve work productivity, teamwork and communication. It has been used worldwide in thousands of organizations of all sizes, major governmental agencies, and Fortune 500 companies.

The DiSC model of behavior was first proposed by William Moulton Marston, a physiological psychologist with a Ph.D. from Harvard.  His 1928 book, Emotions of Normal People, explains his theory on how normal human emotions lead to behavioral differences among groups of people and how a person’s behavior might change over time.  He was interested in using practical explanations to help people understand and manage their experiences and relationships. We find DiSC to be an invaluable tool in our work with individuals and teams in helping to achieve the following objectives:

  • Understanding your own style preferences: how you respond to conflict, what motivates you, what causes you stress and how you tend to solve problems
  • Learning how to adapt your style to get along better with others
  • Fostering constructive and creative group interactions
  • Facilitating better teamwork and minimizing team conflict
  • Developing stronger sales skills by identifying and responding to customer styles
  • Managing more effectively by understanding the dispositions and priorities of employees and team members
