The free VIA Inventory of Strengths (VIA Survey) takes 10-15 minutes to complete. Each summary report is personalized to show an individual’s rank-ordered strengths based on an inventory of 24 character strengths. Since its inception, the VIA Survey has been taken by over three million people in 193 countries and 18 languages.

For youth ages 10-17, VIA also offers the VIA Youth Survey and the VIA Youth Decoder Report. Knowing character strengths can be very useful to help middle and high school students build confidence, accomplish goals and articulate themselves for college applications, job interviews, and more.
